How to reset the oil light on the 2013 Mini Cooper

If the oil light continues to appear on the instrument panel of your Mini Cooper (2013) even though you recently changed the oil and filter, you must manually reset the light. Let's find out the steps you need to take. First, turn on the ignition and hold down the "Trip 0.0" button for about five seconds. Then press the button on the end of the left steering wheel lever several times and scroll through the various icons on the display. Once you find the one related to car maintenance, select "Reset" and proceed with resetting the oil light.
