Mitsubishi Pajero - Video tutorial

Model: Mitsubishi Pajero V60, MK 3 - Years 1999-2006
Part: Brake discs
Operation: How to remove the disc brake on Mitsubishi Pajero

How to remove the disc brake with related brake pads on a Mitsubishi Pajero? First of all, we lift the car on a column point up to a usable height to operate. Immediately after we go to remove the rim (with a telescopic wrench or compressed air drill) with the respective pins. We unscrew the locking pin of the brake caliper, remove the same from the caliper support. We remove the caliper support from the wheel hub with a socket wrench. Once the brake disc is free, let's unscrew the screws with a spanner and detach the disc from the wheel hub. We remove the various wiring and brake fluid hoses from the wheel body. Let's replace them with new pieces (we always mount original and compliant pieces) Let's get ready to mount the new disc with relative pads, brake caliper, caliper support, etc.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
