Remove the valve cover with the appropriate Allen key. Find the top dead centre of the piston, but not at the exhaust TDC, rather at the compression stroke, by engaging fifth gear and rotating the rear wheel. When the piston nearly touches the spark plug, you are at top dead centre. Adjust the valves to 0.15 for intake and 0.20 for exhaust. Use a feeler gauge and a spanner to lower or raise the valves. If in doubt, it is advisable to keep the valves wider rather than tighter than the desired value: if the intake valve is 0.20 instead of 0.15, that is acceptable; it will just be a bit noisier.
