Place a tray under the bike's chain to collect excess fluid. Prepare some white spirit and a small brush (there are also specific brushes for chains). After dipping the brush in the white spirit, clean the entire chain along its length, passing over each link. Clean the sprocket as well, removing any grease residues. Take a cloth and dry the chain along its length while rotating the wheel and thus the chain. If you wish, you can also clean the rim with the white spirit.
