How to set the engine service light to diagnostic mode on a Nissan Juke MK1.

The video shows how to enter diagnostic mode to read faults directly from the warning light without using an OBD2 scanner. First, we turn on the instrument panel and wait for 3 seconds; within 5 seconds, we press and release the accelerator pedal (fully) 5 times; then we wait for 7 seconds (the light may start to flash weakly). After the 7 seconds, we press the accelerator all the way down and hold it for 10/15 seconds; at this point, the check engine light will begin to flash in a regular and distinct pattern, indicating that the vehicle is in code reading mode. The light flashes to communicate an alphanumeric code consisting of a letter and 4 digits. The first group indicates the type of fault, which for standard codes is always the letter "P," flashing 10 times (which also indicates zero, but in this case, it is "P"). The subsequent four groups form the actual numerical code: 11 flashes indicate the letter "A." After noting the code, we hold the accelerator for 10 seconds and turn off the car; upon restarting, the check engine light should be off. This procedure only clears the code from memory and turns off the light, but does not resolve the physical fault that caused it.
