Removing the Gear Knob from a Nissan Qashqai

As with any maintenance operation on a vehicle, you must place your Nissan Qashqai on a flat surface or on a ramp to work safely and stably. First, remove the upper trim of the gear knob (the part that shows the gear positions). To do this, press behind the knob and simultaneously pull upwards. Now, extract the clip found at the top of the lever and remove the knob. If you also want to remove the leather gaiter, you need to move the two side panels and both elements, front and rear, that surround the base of the leather gaiter. This way, you can remove the base along with the leather gaiter.
