Repair of the internal chrome plating of an Opel/Vauxhall Mokka

In this video we can see how to repair the chrome finishes of the dashboard of an Opel/Vauxhall Mokka: we see in the video that the internal chrome trims of this car were really very damaged, so the youtuber decided to remove the chrome and paint them black. First, we need to remove the trim around the radio and air conditioning controls, using a plastic spatula, then remove the electrical connector. Clean the area well to remove dust and residue, and then scrape the area with fine sandpaper or a specific tool to remove all the chrome flakes. Now we apply matte black primer, after masking the plastic part to avoid painting it as well. For the final coat, we can choose: if we want a matte finish, we apply the final coat with primer, otherwise we apply the final coat with glossy paint. Let it dry well, remove the masking and put the trim back in place.
