It is not possible to remove just the frame: the only result is breaking the brackets. So, let’s see how to do it correctly; you will need a plastic spatula to avoid scratching the bodywork.

Leverage the outer part of the frame, the plastic part, and not the chrome, from both sides. Behind, you will find an electrical wire: this is for the night light, and it is located all around the chrome part, held in small spaces.
