How to disassemble the fuse box of the Opel Astra G

Let's see how to disassemble the fuse box located in the interior of the Opel Astra G: it is a rather complex job, which requires the removal of parts of the interior. It is a delicate operation, so it is better to disconnect the battery beforehand. The box shown in the video is the fuse box of the interior, located in the lower part of the dashboard, driver side. The first thing to do is to remove the side plastic panel of the dashboard, near the door; once this is done, we will see the structure of the dashboard and several connectors. We remove the largest one that goes to the fuse box, lifting the release lever that we must lift before pulling. The rotary switch for the lights must also be removed, by pushing it out of its seat from the back or unlocking its fixing tabs. Look for a 13 mm nut attached to the bodywork which is the main ground clamp for the dashboard electrical system and unscrew it completely. The fuse box is fixed to the vehicle structure with two cross screws, one of which is less visible. Once removed, we can gently extract the box from its seat. However, it still needs to be handled with care because it is still connected via some cables.
