What we see is an Opel advertisement, so it may exaggerate a bit, but the automatic emergency braking (AEB) system on the Opel Crossland X is designed to prevent collisions or mitigate their effects, using a radar and front camera, as well as proximity sensors. It detects vehicles up to 85 km/h with an auditory and visual warning, pre-loads the brakes, and if the driver does not respond, it automatically brakes. It also detects pedestrians up to 60 km/h, and here too it activates the braking if the driver does not react. There is also a "city brake" function for low speeds that intervenes in traffic jams when a car suddenly stops in front, preventing rear-end collisions. Of course, there are limitations to the system: adverse weather conditions, such as heavy rain, snow, or blinding light; it does not detect bicycles or motorcycles approaching from the side, and it is deactivated below 5 km/h.
