The Esp device is responsible for controlling the traction force of the vehicle, thus preventing skidding, especially in the presence of ice or wet conditions on the road surface. Although it is discouraged to drive with this control deactivated, there is the possibility to disable it, but it should only be done in specific cases and with caution, for example, to pull the vehicle out of a muddy stretch, etc. In the case of the Opel Zafira B, deactivation occurs via the Sport button, which is located on the dashboard; we will see that by pressing it, the message Esp Off will appear on the instrument panel.
