How to Reset the Service Light on an Opel Insignia B

Model: Vauxhall Insigna MK 2, Insigna B - Years 2017-2026

Resetting the service light on the Opel Insignia B is done entirely from the instrument cluster (digital dashboard) and not from the central touchscreen. Turn on the instrument cluster, and use the controls on the left side of the steering wheel (the up/down arrows or the dial). Navigate to the main menu, find and select the "Maintenance Info" option. Within that menu, you will find the "Oil Life" option, which you will select. At this point, the display will show the counter indicating the percentage of remaining oil, such as "Oil 15%". Press and hold the "OK" button for about 3-5 seconds. Now the display will ask you to confirm the reset. Press "OK" again. The counter will return to 100% (or to "---" and then to 0 miles) and the yellow service light will turn off.
