What the Spanner Light Indicates on an Opel Corsa

This guide explains the scenarios in which the yellow spanner light appears. There are three cases; the first occurs when, upon turning on the ignition, the light comes on for a few seconds, indicating no faults. The second case happens when, upon turning on the instrument cluster, the light remains on; in this case, the ECU has recorded an error during the last use of the vehicle. In this case, the light will turn off as soon as the engine is started. The last case, where the light remains on even with the engine running, indicates a fault. In this last case, diagnostics must be performed to understand the type of fault.
