How do you replace the battery in an Opel car key? Let's look at removing the battery from the Opel Zafira key. Take your remote and press the release button on the metal key. Once the metal key is out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the cover opens: remove the worn battery with a screwdriver. Replace the damaged battery with a new one of the same size and voltage. Test the key remote after replacement.
