How to Replace an Opel Key Cover

Let’s see how to replace an Opel key cover. Remove the shell - it’s an easy operation as it is clipped together - and take out the electronic part. Using a small screwdriver, unscrew the tiny screws on the cover (keep them safely aside). At this point, gently pry it open. Be careful not to tear the spring at the top! Carefully remove the key and spring. Now place the electronic part, ensuring it aligns exactly with its reference points. Reinsert the mechanical key complete with its spring, to which the upper part of the remote must be attached, by making a full turn of the cover around the spring. Apply slight pressure and replace the screws you removed. Position the battery, ensuring it is the right way round, and reattach the cover by pressing it back into place.
