Boot Lock Wiring Repair

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra H - Years 2004-2010
Part: Trunk lock

If the rear boot lock does not activate when pressing the remote key button, check the wiring that runs through the rubber gaiter near the boot support strut: the repeated opening and closing of the boot can stress the cables, causing them to flex and potentially break over time.
Remove the rubber gaiter and inspect the cables, restoring continuity with ties or soldering, which should then be insulated with heat-shrink tubing or electrical tape.

Replacing Cabin Filter on Renault Modus

Replace the cabin filter on a Renault Modus. Open the door and remove the glove compartment from the dashboard on the right side. Use a plastic lever to detach the cover located under the dashboard. Unscrew the securing screws around the perimeter of the glove compartment with a screwdriver. Once this is done, pull out the glove compartment and disconnect the power cables. Extract the cabin filter from its housing, insert the new filter into the holder, and reassemble all components of the glove compartment as they were disassembled.
