Instructions for Replacing Airbag Cover

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006
Part: Airbag

In the case of the vehicle in question, it is common for the horn buttons located on the sides of the airbag cover to become damaged: it is possible to replace this cover with a new one. Once the airbag is detached from the steering wheel (which is secured with a spring system), remove the plastic cover by prying the tabs along the edges with a screwdriver; at points where there are rivets, you can cut the plastic rib since the tabs ensure the cover's retention. Once the old cover is removed, take care not to damage the airbag balloon and apply the new cover, ensuring all tabs are engaged.

How to Remove the Centre Console on a Renault Kangoo

To remove the centre console on a Renault Kangoo, use a plastic lever to pry off the trim located at the bottom of the centre console. Remove the leather gaiter from the gear lever. After removing the gaiter, unscrew the securing screw located at the rear of the centre console (if present). Once this is done, pull the console away and disconnect any power cables. Finally, insert the new part into the centre console space and reassemble all components as they were removed.
