Vauxhall Corsa - Video tutorial
Model: Vauxhall Corsa
Corsa C
- Years 2000-2006 Let's see how to change the brake discs on an Opel Corsa C: first, we need to unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir. Unscrew the front wheels and remove them. Then, lift the front part of the car with a jack and support it with jack stands. Don't rely too much on our jack. Clean the brake caliper with a wire brush and then spray it with WD-40. Separate the brake pads and unscrew the caliper attachment, then remove it. Use a wire to tie the caliper to the suspension to prevent the system from depressurizing. Check the brake caliper support, the guide pin, and the dust covers. Clean them and replace them if necessary. Use a pry bar to remove the brake pads. Clean the brake caliper support with the wire brush, then spray it with WD-40. Unscrew the brake caliper attachment and remove the bracket from the caliper. Clean the brake disc fastening elements with the usual brush and WD-40. Unscrew the brake disc attachments. Clean the hub with the brush, then spray it with copper grease. Now you can install the brake disc, following the instructions in the video for tightening. Before reinstalling it, clean the caliper from dirt and dust, tightening it according to the instructions in the video. Press the brake caliper piston using a retractor. Now you can install the brake pads and then mount and secure the calipers, tightening them according to the instructions in the video. Where the disc will come into contact with the wheel, spray copper grease, then clean the disc surface with a brake cleaner. You can put the wheels back on, lower the vehicle, replace the brake fluid cap, and close the hood. Job done.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
