Replacing Front Brake Pads

Model: Vauxhall Zafira MK 1, T98, Zafira A - Years 1999-2005
Part: Brake pads

Once the vehicle is lifted and the wheel you want to work on is removed, you can see the brake caliper housing the pads, which is installed with a hinge system that makes removal very simple. Before proceeding, it is advisable to lever with a medium-sized flat screwdriver on the old pads to slightly retract the piston and facilitate their extraction. At this point, loosen the caliper fixing bolt located at the bottom, behind the caliper itself, and rotate it completely upwards to free the pads. Then remove the anti-noise pad and the rear pad, and disconnect any wear sensor cable. Using the appropriate clamp, fully retract the piston to create space for the new pads, which are thicker. Place the pads in their designated slots in the caliper (the position is dictated by the appropriate geometry of the slot), then lower the caliper and secure it by tightening the respective fixing bolt. Reconnect any wear sensor cable and proceed to remount the wheel. Before driving off, remember to pump the brake pedal until it offers appropriate resistance, thus correctly repositioning the cylinder.

How to Remove the Interior Light of a Mini

Remove the interior light of a Mini: use a screwdriver or plastic lever to pry between the cover and the light itself (avoid damaging the headlining), pull the cover out from the panel and disconnect the power connector after removing it. Replace the damaged bulb with a new one (same size and voltage). Refit the light into its housing (push it in with your hands until the metal clips are fully locked). Test the light's functionality before completely refitting the piece.
