To replace the piston on a Peugeot Speedfight, loosen the screws securing the seat and the protective panel in the under-seat compartment at the front. Once the panel is removed, locate the top of the engine block, where the cylinder can be removed by unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the coil and spark plug.

The piston can then be freed from the connecting rod by removing the retaining ring and the appropriate pin; this will allow you to insert the new piston and reassemble all the disassembled components.
