To prevent dust and dirt from entering the ventilation system of the Peugeot 307, a filter is installed in the intake that must be replaced every fifteen thousand miles, or after a year, to ensure its effectiveness. To carry out the replacement, open the bonnet of the engine compartment, remove the panel under the drip tray on the passenger side at the base of the windscreen.

This gives access to the cover of the filter box, which you will remove to replace it with a new filter element, ensuring the correct flow direction. Close the cover and refit the panel.
