Here’s how to unlock the automatic gearbox of a Peugeot 3008/2008/508: this is an emergency solution when the vehicle won't move due to an electronic fault or a flat battery. The operation manually affects the gear selector. Pull the handbrake, open the bonnet, remove the air duct, and locate the automatic gearbox control unit, which is near the gearbox: it is secured with three screws that we will unscrew. Carefully lift it and move it aside; be careful not to touch the electrical connectors. Find the release pin, insert a 7 mm socket, engage the socket on the pin, gently lever it downwards, and you will hear a click indicating that the gearbox has been released from the "P" position. At this point, you can move the lever normally from the cabin.
