How to Change the Front Brake Pads on a Peugeot 3008 MK1

To replace the front brake pads on a Peugeot 3008 MK1, start by lifting the front of the car and removing the wheel. Use a flat screwdriver to lever in the caliper hole to compress the piston and create space for the new pads (you can find them on eBay with code 267196995891 for £25.00, with free delivery). Undo the two bolts with a 13 mm spanner (holding the counter nut with a 19 mm spanner). Detach the caliper and suspend it with a wire to avoid damaging the brake hose. Remove the old pads and anti-noise springs. Clean the support with a wire brush. Insert the new springs and the new pads into the support. Refit the caliper and tighten the bolts (using new ones pre-coated with thread lock). Torque to specification. Repeat on the other side. Refit the wheel and lower the car. Pump the brake to bring the pads into contact with the disc. Avoid harsh braking for the first 50 miles.
