A problem with the water pump of the Peugeot Expert.

In this video we can see how to solve a problem that occurred on the water pump of the Peugeot Expert, which showed symptoms of dangerously rising temperature (with a clear risk of cylinder head damage), lack of heating in the cabin, and upon visual inspection, the pulley rotates but the internal impeller is disconnected. The probable failure is due to defective material: the pumps installed on this model have plastic components that degrade after 100,000 km: the models most at risk are those with BlueHDI engines from 2018 onwards. If this happens, stop immediately and do not stress the engine; this way we will prevent damage to the timing system and cylinder head. Monitor the temperature while driving, trying not to exceed 90°C. When replacing the pump (which will be all metal), consider replacing the belt as well. If we want to prevent failure, replace the pump and belt around 100,000 km.
