How to Remove the Heating Radiator from the Peugeot 508

This is one of the most laborious jobs you can do on the Peugeot 508, and the position of the steering wheel on the left-hand drive may obstruct access, necessitating the removal of additional parts of the dashboard (not just the glove compartment); indeed, the video refers to a right-hand drive car. First, disconnect the battery, remove the glove compartment and the related trim panels; remove the side cover panel of the centre console, which unclips with a clip; remove the lower cover under the passenger side dashboard, and once the panels are removed, you should see the heater box. Some models have a support bracket that crosses the radiator area. If present, it must be removed. Place a container or rags under the pipes, as coolant will leak out; these use quick-release clips. To remove them, press down on the plastic tabs and pull the collar of the connector to detach them. Remove the 4 torx screws that secure the radiator to the heater box. Try to widen the space, slide the radiator down (be careful with the radiator pipes, which are very delicate). The seals should always be replaced during reassembly. Normally, the radiator leaks due to internal corrosion, so before installing a new one, it is good practice to flush the cooling system. For an experienced mechanic, this job takes several hours; for a hobbyist, it may require more than a full day. It is not a difficult job, but it requires a lot of patience and attention.
