Replacement of Brake Discs and Front Pads

Model: Peugeot 106 MK 1 - Years 1991-2004

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands (loosen the wheel bolts before lifting the vehicle) and remove the wheels. Remove the retaining clip and then the pin securing the pads to the brake caliper; unscrew the caliper mounting pins and remove it from the hub, extracting the old pads. Clean the caliper with appropriate cleaning foam. Then unscrew the bolts securing the brake disc to the hub and remove the disc; clean the hub seat of any oxidation residues and apply the new disc after cleaning off the protective oil. Tighten the disc securing bolts; retract the caliper piston using a C-clamp to accommodate the new pads and, if desired, repaint the calipers red. Refit the caliper to its support, insert the new pads and the corresponding locking pin with the safety clip. Finally, refit the wheel.
