Changing the brake pads on the Peugeot 106? Let’s look at the disassembly of the rear brake pads. Lift the car with a jack to the desired height, remove the wheel (using a telescopic wrench). Unscrew the caliper locking bolt, and remove the caliper from the wheel hub (or detach the pads without removing the caliper). Use a screwdriver to remove the pads to be replaced from the wheel hub caliper, then remove the brake caliper. Attach the new pads to the caliper, reassemble the brake caliper with the bracket onto the brake disc. Tighten all bolts and refit the wheel. Test the braking of the 106.
