Injectors serve to inject fuel into the combustion chamber, atomising it at high pressure to mix well with the air and create the perfect thermodynamic conditions for detonation and power generation in the engine. When they become damaged and can no longer atomise the fuel, they must be replaced (it is also possible to purchase reconditioned ones from the aftermarket). The injectors are fitted onto the so-called rail using special securing clips: once the rail is removed, extract the clips, pull out the old injectors and insert the new ones, applying the clips again.
