Clutch Replacement Instructions

Model: Peugeot 106 MK 1 - Years 1991-2004

Replacing the clutch is not typically a DIY maintenance task, but if you have some tools and good mechanical knowledge, you can proceed. Lift the vehicle on a ramp or suitable axle stands, drain the oil from the gearbox, and in the meantime, remove the battery and the air filter housing to disconnect the clutch cable, gear cables, starter motor, and reverse switch connector. Move on to disassembling the driveshaft by freeing the hub from the joint to slide the driveshaft out of the gearbox and continue by removing the gearbox from its support. Once the gearbox is removed, take off the release bearing, the clutch disc, and the thrust bearing. Clean the flywheel, use the alignment tool to install the new disc and the corresponding pressure plate, apply the new bearing, and reinstall the gearbox along with everything previously removed, finally filling the gearbox with new oil.
