Peugeot 106 - Video tutorial
Model: Peugeot 106
MK 1
- Years 1991-2004 Replacing the clutch is not really one of those do-it-yourself maintenance but if you have some tools and have good knowledge of mechanics you can proceed; lift the car on a bridge or on suitable car stands, drain the oil from the gearbox and in the meantime remove the battery and the air filter container to be able to disconnect the clutch cable, those of the gears, the motor and the reverse switch socket. Proceed to disassembling the semi-shaft by releasing the hub from the head in order to remove the semi-shaft from the gearbox and continue by disassembling the gearbox freeing it from its support. Once the gearbox has been removed, remove the disc pusher, the clutch disc and the thrust bearing. Clean the flywheel, use the centering shaft to install the new disc and relative pressure plate, apply the new bearing and install the gearbox and what was previously removed, filling the gearbox with new oil.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
