How to Change the Clutch on the Peugeot 206

On the Peugeot 206, you tackle the clutch replacement by working both from above in the engine bay and from below, with the car raised and secured. After preparing the materials and the clutch kit, clear access to the gearbox area: in the engine bay, you can clearly see the operations on the fixings and supports, using spanners and ratchets to unscrew the bolts in the tighter areas. Once the space is prepared, go under the vehicle to reach the gearbox bell and the lower fixing points. Here, the work continues by removing the necessary connections to separate the gearbox from the engine: be careful to keep everything supported correctly and work without straining pipes or wiring. When the transmission is freed, access to the clutch is finally available. With the clutch exposed on the Peugeot 206, work on the pressure plate and disc: loosen the fixings and remove the old components. At this point, the new kit comes into play: position the disc, refit the pressure plate, and tighten everything progressively to ensure the clutch pack mates correctly.
