How to change the gearbox oil of the Peugeot 206

In this video we see how to change the gearbox oil on a Peugeot 206: we open the hood and lift the front part of the car, remove the lower plastic cover in order to access the gearbox oil drain plug; we must be careful not to confuse it with the engine oil drain plug! Get a large bowl to drain the old oil, which will then be disposed of correctly at an authorized center. Let it drain and then screw on a new plug and a new gasket. Put the plastic protection back in place and lower the car. To access the refill plug, it is necessary to remove the battery, and also the plastic box that contains it, fixed by three screws at the bottom and by the electrical connectors that connect it to the relays. Underneath there are clamps that need to be lifted, in order to remove the battery compartment support, where underneath we have the gearbox breather from which to refill: we open the cap and fill with oil, the one recommended by the manufacturer through a funnel that, being rather small due to the size of the hole, allows us to insert a little liquid at a time. Once filled, we put the cap back in place, the battery support, the containment box, reconnect the electrical connectors and put the battery back in place. Operation completed.
