How to Replace the Clutch on a Peugeot 207 1.4 HDi?

To replace the clutch on a Peugeot 207, you need to work under the vehicle. Lie under the car or lift the passenger side with a jack. Locate the gearbox near the engine, in the direction of the engine, and find the pipe that connects to the brake fluid reservoir, which should terminate directly at the master cylinder; here you will find the clutch slave cylinder. Remove the dust cap from the bleed screw using a screwdriver, insert the pipe and clamp onto the now visible bleed valve, fill the reservoir with brake fluid, and connect the other end of the flexible pipe. Open the valve with a socket spanner and observe the pipe and reservoir; when no more bubbles appear in the brake fluid exiting the pipe, you can close the valve. Repeat until there are no more bubbles. Temporarily close the valve, release the clutch, and check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. If it is low, top it up to the maximum. Remove the pipe and replace the dust cap; depending on the type of cap, it may be easier or harder to close. Finally, in the driver's seat, change gears to test the clutch feel.
