In this video, we can see how to replace the wastegate valve, which serves to protect the turbocharger and improve performance by releasing excess air, thus preventing the turbo from slowing down too much. In both gasoline and diesel engines, the wastegate valve (also known as "wastegate") regulates the turbo pressure by diverting exhaust gases away from the turbine to control the boost. In gasoline engines, the valve is integrated into the turbo, so you just need to remove the screws that hold it in place and take it out. If the valve gets stuck or leaks, the turbo won't maintain boost. Codes such as P2263 may appear in the ECU, indicating that the turbo is under or over-pressurized.
