What to Do When the Engine Warning Light Comes On in the Peugeot Boxer

The engine warning light does not indicate a specific problem but can refer to various engine anomalies. The first thing to do is observe the light, as it can illuminate in two different ways; it can either stay on or flash. In the first case, a steady light warns that the issue concerns only the engine's operation; in this case, you can continue driving the vehicle, but avoid putting the engine under strain to prevent further damage, and of course, visit the nearest mechanic who will perform a scan of the ECU memory to identify the precise cause of the fault. If, on the other hand, the light is flashing, the fault is likely due to a malfunction of the catalytic converter.
