If you need to reset the automatic gearbox of a Peugeot vehicle due to issues with gear changes, particularly downshifts, you can proceed by following the procedure outlined below and referring to the video. First, access the cabin and turn on the ignition; with the engine warm, ensure that all electrical and electronic components are off, such as the air conditioning fan, lights, and that the doors are closed. Then, press the brake pedal firmly and keep it pressed throughout the procedure. Move the gear lever from P to N and leave it in this position for at least 2 minutes, then shift the lever to M and wait at least another minute. Next, return the gear lever to P and turn off the ignition. Open and close the driver's door, and finally, you can release the brake pedal, and the reset will be complete.
