How to Open the Bonnet of a Peugeot 308 Mk2

This guide shows how to open the engine compartment of the Peugeot 308 Mk2. After securing the vehicle, pull the lever located under the dashboard from the driver's side. This lever allows the bonnet to lift from the closed position, but at this point, the bonnet remains locked from fully opening. Go to the front of the vehicle. In the gap that has formed, to the left of the manufacturer's name, there is a small hook; pull this element to fully disengage the lock and lift the bonnet. To close it, lower the bonnet and give it a gentle push to engage the lock.
