If the plastic gear knob on your vehicle is broken and you want to replace it yourself, the following description provides all the instructions and steps to follow for a correct replacement. First, purchase an aftermarket gear knob and consider replacing the gaiter as well.

Then, remove the gaiter from the centre console by lifting it, and detach it from the gear knob. Take the new gear knob and insert it into the top of the leather gaiter, which you will then place onto the gear stick, securing the lower edge of the gaiter back onto the centre console.
