How to Replace the Diesel Filter on a Peugeot 307

To replace the diesel filter on a Peugeot 307, lift the bonnet, remove the engine cover by pulling it while being careful of the clips; using a flat screwdriver, disconnect the connector, disconnect the fuel inlet hose (put a cap on it to prevent fuel spillage), also disconnect the fuel outlet hose (put a cap on it to prevent fuel spillage); using a ratchet and a 27 mm socket, unscrew the diesel filter cover, remove it (placing a container underneath to catch any diesel and the filter), take out the old filter and remove the old seal. Take a pump (manual or electric), suck the diesel into the filter container and dry the container; take the new filter with the new seal, place the new seal in place of the old one using a flat screwdriver, insert the new diesel filter onto the cover and reposition it onto the container; now you can reconnect the fuel outlet and inlet hoses (removing the caps), reconnect the connector and give a few pumps of diesel to fill the filter container. Finally, you can start the car engine (if it doesn't start immediately, allow the filter to fill further).
