Peugeot 207 - Video tutorial

Model: Peugeot 207 MK 1 - Years 2006-2015
Part: Timing belt
Operation: Peugeot 207 timing chain replacement

Generally the timing chain is not replaced but it may happen that it can stretch to such an extent that the relative tensioner is no longer able to compensate for the elongation, thus generating the typical noise caused by the slamming of the chain on the relative sliding pads ; to carry out this maintenance it is recommended to contact specialized personnel since the setting up requires particular experience; it will therefore be necessary to remove the engine air filter box, the plastic cover, the spark plug caps and the spark plugs in order to remove the tappet cover; then place the car on suitable stands to remove the right front wheel and apply a support under the engine since the lateral engine support must also be removed; once the auxiliary belt and the crankshaft pulley have also been removed, align the timing references and complete the disassembly of the crankcase and the chain. Therefore, pay attention during the installation phase of the new kit in setting up the system.

How to reset the service in the Opel Antara?

As we can see in this tutorial, resetting the service in the Opel Antara is an extremely simple and fast operation. Before proceeding, of course, we must have completed all the planned maintenance work. We start by inserting the key but leaving it in the initial position, after which we keep the accelerator pedal fully depressed and at the same time turn on the instrument panel, not the engine. At this point, we release the accelerator and press it 3 consecutive times, always all the way. We then restart the panel to verify that the procedure has been carried out correctly.
