To replace the timing chain on a Peugeot 207, lift the car to remove the front right wheel completely: this must be removed along with the corresponding wheel arch. This will provide access to the side of the engine block, where the chain tensioner is located: by releasing it from its housing, you can reduce the tension on the chain, allowing it to be removed completely.

After removal, insert the new chain and restore tension by refitting the chain tensioner.
