To change the oil on a Piaggio Vespa 125 LX, first drain the engine of the used oil through the plug located behind the exhaust pipe and under the air duct on the right side of the scooter, taking care not to burn yourself if the engine is still hot. After positioning a container under the plug, start unscrewing it to drain the old oil. While waiting, proceed to unscrew the oil filter located on the right side of the main plug. The oil filter should be replaced with every oil change, and it is advisable to use a special tool to unscrew it. Inside the main oil plug, you will notice an additional plastic filter; this should not be replaced but simply removed, cleaned with solvent, and repositioned. Once the oil has drained completely, refit the main plug with the plastic filter inside and install the new oil filter. Before screwing in the oil filter, it is recommended to wet the O-ring at the base with a bit of oil to avoid friction during installation. After tightening the main plug and the oil filter, proceed to top up the new oil through the filler cap located on the left side of the crankcase cover. Generally, the engine capacity is around one litre of oil, but it is advisable to check the level using the indicator on the filler cap after the first start-up and top up if necessary.

How to Change the Engine Oil on a Triumph Tiger 900?

To change the engine oil on the Triumph Tiger 900, follow these steps. First, ensure the engine is warm but not too hot. Lift the motorcycle on a centre or side stand to make it stable. Locate the oil drain plug on the engine casing, usually positioned on the lower side of the engine. Place an oil collection container under the drain plug and unscrew the plug to allow the used oil to drain out. Once the oil has completely drained, remove and replace the oil filter. Be sure to lubricate the sealing ring of the new filter before installing it. Reinstall the oil drain plug and ensure it is tightly secured. Next, locate the oil filler cap on the engine and remove it. Fill the engine with new engine oil, using the oil recommended in the owner's manual. Check the oil level using the dipstick and add oil if necessary to reach the correct level. Finally, screw the oil filler cap back on, start the engine, and check for any oil leaks. Recheck the oil level and add oil if necessary. Once the procedure is complete, dispose of the used oil properly at an authorised recycling centre.
