To replace the transmission on a Piaggio MP3 400, loosen the bolts securing the cover located on the rear left side of the scooter, near the wheel. Once the bolts are loosened, you can open the cover to access the underlying components: you can then loosen the central nuts securing the variator and the clutch bell. Both components can then be removed, along with the belt; finally, all removed components can be replaced and covered with the removed cover.
