How to Replace the Speedometer Cable on a Vespa

Model: Piaggio Vespa 125 Lx
Part: Checks and maintenance

Video tutorial

In this video, we see an extremely simple yet effective way to change the speedometer cable on any Piaggio Vespa. The simplest systems are always the best, so here’s how to do it: pull out the metal sheath where the cable runs, tie an electrical wire to the cable, and pull the cable out of the sheath with the electrical wire attached, ensuring the wire stays inside.

Then, at the other end, attach the new wire (making a knot at the end) and pull it back down. This way, you ensure the cable is pulled through the entire length of the sheath without causing any issues.

How to Change the Transmission Oil in the Honda SH 150i Scooter?

Changing the transmission oil in the Honda SH 150i scooter, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick operation. First, wait until the engine is cool enough, then locate the three bolts at the rear of the casing and position a container underneath them. Next, use a 12mm socket to remove the two inner bolts, allowing all the oil in the system to drain out, and then tighten the lower bolt. At this point, simply pour in the new oil through the upper hole, using a syringe and a thin tube if necessary.
