To change the engine oil on a Piaggio Liberty 50, follow these steps. Start by placing the scooter on a flat surface and ensuring the engine is warm but not too hot. Locate the oil drain plug on the engine casing, usually found on the underside of the engine.

Position a collection container under the oil drain plug. Remove the oil drain plug using an appropriate spanner and allow the used oil to drain completely into the collection container.

Once draining is complete, remove and replace the oil filter. Apply a small amount of new oil to the seal of the new filter before installation.

Next, reattach the oil drain plug. Locate the oil filler cap on the engine and remove it. Fill the engine with new oil using a funnel until it reaches the recommended level.

Check the oil level using the dipstick and add oil if necessary. Finally, securely reattach the oil filler cap. Ensure you dispose of the used oil properly at an authorised collection centre.
