How to Use the Running Boards on a Dodge Ram 1500

Model: RAM 1500 DT, MK 5 - Years 2019-2026

Set up the automatic deployment of the running boards when you open your Ram 1500. This is simply a setting you adjust from the screen: select "Power side step" and check "auto" so the running boards stay retracted when the vehicle is closed and automatically deploy when a door is opened. If you prefer to control when the running boards deploy, set it to "store" mode. The running boards retract automatically when the vehicle exceeds 5 mi/h. If your vehicle is equipped with rear running boards, you can easily deploy them by pressing the tab that protrudes from the body. You can comfortably step up and down from the pickup's running board. To close it, simply push it toward the center of the vehicle.
