Replacing the Battery on the Renault Clio II

In this video, you will see how to proceed if the battery of your Renault Clio is flat and does not respond to attempts to recharge it: you will need to replace it. Open the bonnet of the engine compartment and you will find the battery on the driver's side.

Start by loosening and removing the negative terminal, then move on to unscrewing the positive terminal clamp.

Using a socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the bracket at the base of the battery and remove the old battery from its housing. Take the new battery, fit the threaded adapter from the old one onto the positive terminal, position it in its housing, secure the bracket at the base, reattach the cables to the positive terminal and secure them with the clamp, and finally, reattach the negative terminal.
