Renault Twingo III: the benefits of three-cylinder engines and their limitations

In this video we see the engine of the Renault Twingo II, which is located in the rear of the vehicle. It is a three-cylinder engine, as is common in this period, with 898 cc, turbo. The imperative is to reduce fuel consumption, and consequently reduce CO2 emissions; the solution is therefore to make smaller engines, with higher efficiency, and the reduction in the number of cylinders is due to the ideal displacement which is around 300/400 cm3, resulting in an engine with a total displacement of about one liter; thanks to this combination, the vehicles have much lower fuel consumption compared to the past. However, these engines have a problem: when used outside of the optimal conditions used in bench tests for approval, in normal use, to avoid knocking, the mixture must be enriched, which means consuming and polluting more. It is therefore a challenge for designers for the future.

How to Reset the Central Locking of the Volkswagen Golf 4?

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel. Under this panel, you will find the fuses, including the one for the central locking, which is indicated in the manual as number 14. To reset the system, remove this fuse from its housing, then reinsert it or replace it with a new one of the same amperage: this will reset the central locking system.
