How to Replace the CV Joint on a Renault Laguna

If you hear a noise coming from the wheel during a steering manoeuvre with the steering wheel at full lock, it is likely that the CV joint is damaged. When purchasing the new wheel-side joint, check the number of grooves on the edge, which are necessary for the correct functioning of the speed sensor. That said, installation can be done on the vehicle, but it is more convenient to remove the joint and secure it in a vice. Remove the retaining clips of the gaiter and the gaiter itself by cutting it. Then, remove the retaining circlip of the joint and extract it with a few well-placed hammer strikes. Next, insert the new clip, the gaiter, and the new joint, ensuring it fits correctly, then apply grease and secure the gaiter with the appropriate clips.
