The warning light on the dashboard indicating that the active locking is engaged (or the message 'Active Locking' in newer cars) shows that the electronic immobiliser of the vehicle has been activated. This electronic device is present in all cars manufactured from a certain year onwards, particularly since the introduction of electronic control in vehicles.

The electronic immobiliser is a device that recognises the ignition key and, in the event of an attempted theft using other keys, prevents the ignition of the vehicle. As mentioned in the video and in the comments below, the device is far from foolproof, and when it fails, repairing it can be quite costly.

How to Set the Clock on a Renault Master 3

This guide shows you how to set a new time on a Renault Master 3. Start by turning on the instrument cluster of the vehicle without starting the engine. Next, using the end of the right-hand steering column stalk, scroll through the options on the display until you reach 'set time', then press the down arrow button to make the displayed time blink. Once this is done, press and hold the down arrow button to change the hour, which you can adjust using the two arrow buttons at the end of the stalk.
