In this video we can see how to remove the spare wheel from the Renault Trafic (but also from Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro and Nissan Primastar). The wheel, in order not to take up space in the cargo area - which is particularly important for a commercial vehicle - is located under the vehicle, and is supported by two shaped iron bars, fixed by two bolts and two hooks. Naturally, both the bars and the bolts will be covered in mud. Therefore, we must free the bolts from the worst dirt before removing them with an electric drill and sliding the wheel down, as if it were a sled. In this case, the spare wheel itself needs to be replaced, because the codes stamped on it indicate that it was produced in the 36th week of 2003.
